If you get a chance to see Deco at one of their upcoming gigs in December, it’s definitely worth it.
I saw them last night at a small venue in St Albans and was really impressed, they’ve definitely got something good going on.
Not great quality video, but you get the idea:
To give you some idea of the interest they’re generating, Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) has said: “Nice bit of bass. Sounds good, that, I like that. It’s got a good atmosphere.” and “They’ve got something a bit unique.”
Upcoming gigs
03/12/07 - The Fly, London
21/12/07 - Dublin Castle, Camden
Definitely worth checking out.
Since I last saw them play live a few months ago their sound has tightened, the performance is more rounded and they really feel like a band going places.
If you haven’t already spotted it, Stephen Fry has been writing a blog. It’s honest, fun, interesting and each entry takes quite a bit of time to read.
Next time you have a spare ten minutes, I recommend you take a look:

According to Variety, Thundercats is being slated for a big screen outing. Famous for having the best theme tune of any cartoon from the 80s, Thundercats still manages to be quite good.
The big news most people are concentrating on is that Jerry O’Flaherty has been marked down as director - his previous career has consisted solely of computer games production. But I think that’s possibly a good thing: he’s obviously a nerd and probably already has all the episodes of the cartoon on DVD.
This is what O’Flaherty has to say on the subject:
But the “Thundercats” story appealed to him, as well as the fact that vidgames are increasingly incorporating lavish animated sequences that mimic pics, making a toon a much easier transition.
“It feels like a natural thing for me to step into,” he said. “Games have come so far now. The last four years of my life have been about bringing the energy of filmmaking into the videogame experience.”
I’ve already mentioned the theme tune, but how good was it really?
Excellent!
Stumbled across this youtube video, but is this the future?
It gives a history and a prediction of the Internet which all sounds quite plausible. The Internet tools that are taking over our current lives become even more important in the future. Have we already become too reliant on the world wide web?
The Google grid, Amazon’s relationship creating “GoogleZon“, A9.com. Could this be the future?

I think I might have missed this somewhere over the last year but I love the intro to this skateboarding video. Directed by Spike Jonze with music from M83, it looks incredible and the music fits perfectly.
You can’t drink just six apparently. So, this was thought to be a marketing plot for Cloverfield (see our 11808 update but now it’s appeared in Heroes and there are rumours of a Lost appearance this season.
